Tips To Recover From Sugar Binge After Festive Season:

Festive Season is over and Preparing for Christmas & New Year.

We’ve all had our weak moments, and woken up guilty of eating too much at one time or another, but with Halloween and Diwali behind us, it seems as if everyone is on a sugar binge.

One bite-size desert turns into a big portion of indulgence, and the next day we’re left in sugar hangover.

One day of bad eating won’t kill you. The resulting downward spiral of bad habits is what you want to avoid.

We make poor decisions when we feast, and follow them up with courses of action that are even worse for our health.

If you’re a fit person, this gain won’t be hard to work off. But if you’re older, overweight and don’t exercise routinely, shedding even a kilo after a week of excess can feel like moving a mountain.

Recovery:

Don’t Stress: You might get irritated over little things. New day and time for you to make a new decision. Remember what you do the majority of the time is important, not some festive indulgence. So don’t be so hard on yourself, not even vicious cycle of self judgement. What happens on Diwali, stays there.

Sweat it out: Your favourite form of exercise is one of the best ways to control your blood sugar, and you will feel better. Burn the excess calories, stay active.

Choose your liquid: Festive food is high in calories, fried and filled with sugar. It can leave you dehydrated, so drink more Water. With proper hydration you will feel better with more energy.

Balanced Meals: Don’t starve or I would suggest avoid Intermittent Fasting too. Make sure you take 3 Balanced meals with Carbs, Veggies and Protein, small portion of fruits.

Choose Your Favourite Probiotic: Too much sugar can increase the bad bacteria in your Gut. So consume fermented foods to increase the good bacteria in your Gut. Consume more Kefir, Tempeh, Kombucha, Miso. Kimchi, Sauerkraut, or any other of your choice.
