Thankful, grateful, and 40!

In few days, I turn 40. Many of my friends (including my hubs) hit the big birthday already, and I am just in awe of this happening. I don’t feel older (okay – sometimes I do). But, when thinking of all I’d like to do this year, I came up with a list of simple things that I plan to get cracking ASAP. It’s time to celebrate being 40, fabulous, and FUN.

It’s never too late to chase your dreams and fulfil that bucket list of things you have always wanted to do.

Focus on the joy, and seize the day!

As my 30’s are dwindling down, I realised that I never finished my “Before 30 Bucket List.”

Of course, now the thought of purposely jumping out of a plane doesn’t sound as intriguing as it did a decade ago. It seems I’ve changed my mind yet again.

Naturally, my 30’s did change me. I have more responsibilities now!

Without a doubt, my most important responsibility is being a Mother. My risk-taking demeanor has calmed down quite a bit.

That being said, I am still very much a free spirit with adventure running through my veins, it’s just skydiving in a different country is just not on my list anymore.

We have all heard the phrase, but do we ever really “seize the day”? Not hardly, because LIFE gets in the way.

As I said, we have responsibilities. Many of us have kids, bills, jobs, and/or commitments, that keep our lives VERY busy.

Our life gets lived in schedules, and we rarely get to accomplish the amazing plans on our Bucket List.

Let me tell you though, THE TIME IS NOW! We are not getting any younger. In actuality, I think the best time to fulfil a bucket list is in your 40’s.

We are WISER, we are more CONFIDENT, we still have STAMINA and we are more GRATEFUL. It’s time to live each day intentionally and fully.

Let’s make our 40’s be the best years yet!
